Thakadu River Camp

Overview

In a well shaded grove on the banks of the Marico River, deep inside the most southern nation in Africa a traveler may find Thakadu River Camp. The only tented camp in Madikwe, the lodge offers an affordable but high quality 4 star luxury experience.

Thakadu is a 4 star graded lodge, however many elements of their service levels and food quality are much higher than one would expect from such a grading.

The rangers at Thakadu are all well trained and extremely friendly. A love for the game reserve, wildlife and conservation which they emanate make for extremely pleasant game drives and an enjoyable safari experience.

Thakadu River Camp have 12 beautifully decorated tented suites and each suite comes equipped with the following:

Children

Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge. Please note that children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the game drives. Babysitting services are available at an additional charge.
