Overview

In the arid mlaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve is a beautiful classic house which has been converted into a truly unique safari destination. Lovingly decorated to make the most of the original architecture, the stunning natural surroundings and tasteful décor, Last Word Madikwe captures the atmosphere of a home in the middle of the African Bushveld.

This safari destination prides itself on their more intimate guest experience. Due to the limited number of rooms, more attention can be paid to a more guest oriented service experience. Attention to detail is of paramount importance to the lodge manager and the staff.

Another treat at Last Word Madikwe is their waterhole. Having been there since before the reserve had been founded, it is a common place for a large variety of animals to access water. A lovely underground hide provides guests with an undisturbed close encounter of the animals drinking from the waterhole, while remaining safe.

The beautiful lawn of the main lodge has comfortable seating in eyesight of the waterhole. Often guests just laze around in the garden or in the pool, watching the animals come and go.

Children

Children of all ages are welcome at Last Word Madikwe. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on game drives. Babysitting services are available at an additional cost.
