Overview
Tau Game Lodge, the place of the Lion, rests upon the open plains at the feet of the Dwarsberg Mountains. This luxury game lodge has a commanding view of a large and popular water hole which often sees large herds of elephant congregate and play in the water.
A wide variety of meals are prepared by the expert kitchen staff to delight guests. Most guests are awed by the surreal experience during breakfast and lunch times when they sit on the deck overlooking the water hole, watching the animals congregate while at the same time eating a delicious meal.
When weather allows, dinner is often served in the lodge’s open air dining areas. Tau sports both a Boma and a Lapa dining area. With the friendly staff, great food and the beautiful African sky above you, dinner at Tau is always an experience.
Tau game rangers are all very knowledgeable about the area and its rich ancient history. Guests are quite often surprised by the depth of information available about the humble seeming African bushveld that surrounds them, learning about it from their ranger during their daily safari adventure.
