Location
Impodimo Game Lodge, a luxury 5 star game lodge, is situated in Madikwe Game Reserve. It is set along a rocky ridge commanding stunning vistas of the reserve. Daily game drives give you the opportunity to view a wide variety of wildlife species, including the Big 5 mammals.

About Impodimo Game Lodge
Impodimo Game Lodge is 5 star rated by the Tourism Grading Council and located in Madikwe Game Reserve which is malaria free.
The Lodge is set along a rocky ridge commanding stunning vistas of the reserve. It is also located at the source of a natural spring, which provides the lodge with elevated views as well as riverine serenity.
The owner / manager team of Steve and Debbie are ideally suited to tailoring the most memorable safari experience. Whilst Steve is a highly qualified expert ranger, Debbie adds impressive culinary qualifications to the team.
The team has gone to great lengths to ensure that guests have as much choice as possible in enjoying their experience, for example, 7-seater Landrovers are used for game drives instead of the traditional 10 seater type.
Impodimo is the first lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve to have qualified Shangaan trackers as part of the team. This adds a different dimension to the safari experience ensuring consistent big game sightings. With fewer guests on the game drive vehicles the team encourages guests to maximise optimal game viewing times, for example this may include a full day safari in winter with a picnic lunch stop.
Children
Sharing all the wonders that an African game reserve has with children is one of the pleasures that the Impodimo team treasures. The safety of children on safari is of paramount importance to our staff and for this reason we reserve the right to limit children's participation on safaris designed to bring you, the parent, close to big game.
For this reason we have created the concept of the 'bush bumble' where we encourage parents to join their children on a game drive designed to focus on the little things.
Activities
The lodge offers dawn and dusk safaris. The safaris are carefully timed to ensure optimal seasonal comfort.
Bush walks under supervision of registered field guides or rangers are conducted.
Directions
Situated in the Madikwe Game Reserve, access to the lodge is either by road or by air. The reserve is approximately 3,5 hours’ drive from Johannesburg, following the route via Zeerust before proceeding north. The lodge is accessed via Wonderboom Gate.
Air transfers from Grand Central Airport or Johannesburg International Airport are available. There is no charge for the transfer from the air strip at Madikwe to the Impodimo Game Lodge.
