Three exclusive camps – totalling just 16 suites in all – feature
a simple yet sophisticated Madikwe style. Each very spacious
suite features a sitting area, a bedroom with circular fireplace,
a spacious dressing area with personal bar, and a bathroom with
twin hand basins, large bathtub, indoor and outdoor shower, and
privateWC. French doors opening onto wooden decking lead to inviting
plunge pools. The rooms are organic in design and woven copper
screens add intriguing detail. Madikwe Safari Lodge is ideal
for family safaris.
Interiors are in earthy hues from amber and rust to rich buttery tones. Guest areas feature a series of intimate sitting areas and shaded outdoor seating on the expansive covered decks. There are plentiful fireplaces both inside and outdoors with pizza ovens for fun dining. A covered outdoor living room offers beanbags and cushions for casual bonhomie. The nearby boma is the setting for evocative starlit dinners. An African safari shop is situated conveniently between the camps. Dozens of lanterns cast a romantic light over these intimate and simply sophisticated areas. Living areas are designed to be cool in summer and warm in winter.
